This Disclaimer explains the practical limits of Xiliro's tools. It complements, and should be read alongside, the Terms of Use.
General
Every tool on Xiliro is a calculation aid. It produces an estimate or result based on the inputs you provide and a stated method. It does not know your full circumstances, and it is not a substitute for professional judgement in any field where that matters.
Maths and statistics
Where more than one legitimate convention exists (for example, how quartiles are split, or how a rounding tie is resolved), the tool states which convention it uses. A different tool or piece of software using a different convention is not necessarily wrong. See the Editorial & Calculation Standards page.
Money
The Discount, Tip, and Compound Interest calculators perform plain arithmetic on the numbers you enter. None of them is financial, investment, tax, or borrowing advice, and none recommends a particular financial product, savings account, or course of action.
VAT
The VAT Calculator performs arithmetic only. It does not determine which VAT rate legally applies to a transaction, whether a business must register for VAT, or whether VAT can be reclaimed. Preset rates are shown with the source and date they were last checked; a custom rate is entirely user-provided and is not an official figure. VAT rates and rules can change. Check the applicable rate with the relevant tax authority or a qualified tax professional where necessary.
Currency
The Currency Converter uses a daily reference exchange rate from Frankfurter, an independent data service. This rate may differ from the one your bank, card provider, or a currency exchange actually offers you, and it is not updated intraday. Treat a converted amount as an estimate, not a guaranteed transaction figure.
Health
The Adult BMI Calculator provides general screening information for adults aged 18 and over. It is not a diagnosis, is not medical advice, and does not account for pregnancy, high muscularity, or ethnicity-specific risk. See the calculator's own page for its full limitations, and speak to a qualified healthcare professional about any concern regarding your weight or health.
Cooking
The Cooking Unit Converter and Recipe Scaler perform exact unit conversion and proportional scaling only. Neither tool converts between mass and volume, since that depends on an ingredient's density, which is never assumed or estimated.
Dates and times
Date and time tools use standard calendar arithmetic. Where a tool does not account for time zones or daylight saving changes, this is stated on that tool's own page.
Third-party content and external links
Where a tool cites an external authoritative source (for example, the World Health Organization, the NHS, or Frankfurter), Xiliro is not responsible for that source's own content, accuracy, or availability, and citing a source does not imply that source endorses Xiliro.
