Temperature Converter
Convert a temperature between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.
Result
Worked example
0 °C is 32 °F. −40 °C is −40 °F, the one point where the two scales agree. 100 °C is 212 °F.
How it works
Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin are related by fixed offset formulas, not a simple multiplying factor. Xiliro uses the correct formula for each pair rather than treating temperature like an ordinary linear unit. Negative values are accepted, since negative Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures are entirely normal. Values colder than absolute zero (−273.15 °C, equivalently 0 Kelvin or −459.67 °F) are rejected, since no real temperature can go below it in any unit.
What this result means
The converted value reflects the same temperature expressed on a different scale.
