Character Counter

Count the characters in a block of text, with and without spaces.

Your text is processed in your browser and is not sent to Xiliro.

How we counted this

Xiliro counts user-perceived characters, not raw computer code units. An emoji, an accented letter, or an emoji made of several joined symbols (for example a family emoji) each count as one character, using your browser's built-in Unicode-aware text segmentation. This avoids the common mistake of counting a single emoji as two characters. The count excluding spaces treats any space, tab or line break as whitespace. Words use the same locale-aware segmentation as the Word Counter, and lines are counted from line breaks, including blank lines where they occur. See Word Counter for a full word-count breakdown.
