How we calculated this

Xiliro does not derive exchange rates itself. Converted amount = amount × exchange rate, where the rate is the reference rate Frankfurter returns for your chosen pair. The multiplication happens entirely in your browser.

Worked example

100 US Dollars converts to however many Euros 1 US Dollar is currently worth, multiplied by 100.

How it works

Xiliro retrieves the current reference exchange rate for your chosen currency pair from Frankfurter, an independent exchange-rate data service, and then multiplies your amount by that rate entirely in your browser. Only the two currency codes you select are sent to Frankfurter to look up the rate. The amount you enter and the result are never sent anywhere; they exist only on your device.

Rates are reference rates and may differ from the rate offered by your bank, card provider or exchange service. The result is an estimate, not a guaranteed transaction amount. Frankfurter publishes daily reference rates from institutional and central-bank sources. This is not a live, intraday trading feed, so the figure shown will not update by the second. Xiliro does not offer investment, trading or best-provider advice.

What this result means

The converted amount is calculated in your browser using the exchange rate returned for the two currencies you chose.

Assumptions and limitations

  • Rates are indicative and may differ from the rate your bank, card provider, or a cash exchange actually applies to a real transaction.
