Discount Calculator

Calculate the discounted price and amount saved from a percentage-off deal.

Worked example

An original amount of 80 with a 25% discount gives a discount amount of 20 and a final amount of 60.

How we calculated this

This is a simple percentage reduction: discount amount = original amount × discount percentage ÷ 100, and final amount = original amount − discount amount. Xiliro works with plain numbers rather than a specific currency, so amounts are shown without a currency symbol. Enter and read the figures in whatever currency you are working with. A discount percentage above 100 is rejected, since it has no ordinary meaning for a consumer discount.

What this result means

The result is the amount saved and the final price after applying one discount percentage.

Assumptions and limitations

  • One discount at a time — this tool does not stack multiple discounts, and a percentage above 100% is rejected.

Analytics only runs if you choose to allow it below. Advertising and affiliate tracking are not currently used on Xiliro. This panel exists so your preference is on record for if that ever changes.
