Worked example
The lines Apple, Banana, Apple, Cherry, Banana become Apple, Banana, Cherry. The first time each line appears is kept, in its original order.
How this works
This tool compares lines exactly: it is case-sensitive and whitespace-sensitive, so "Apple" and "apple" are treated as different lines, and so are "text" and " text" (with a leading space). Lines are never trimmed or case-changed before comparing them. If you want that, consider Whitespace Cleaner first. A blank line is still a line: the first blank line is kept and later blank lines are removed the same way as any other repeated line. The output keeps the original order and is never sorted.
